Created on the 08 February 1941 to command the troops in Thrace (approximately 2½ Brigades) who were manning the frontier defences along the Bulgarian Border. These troops had previously been under the command of Army Corps Epsilon (V Corps).
A.S. Thrace was officially disbanded on 06 March 1941 once Turkey had released Greece from the commitments of their "Anti-Bulgaria" defence treaty.
