Overview:
The Cavalry Brigade was the first Greek Cavalry formation mobilised, its GOC was Colonel (of the Cavalry) Dhimáratos Sokrátis. The Brigade was initially independent, however it was quickly placed under command of the
Cavalry Division, and then on 01 January 1941 it's Headquarters was disbanded and the 1st Cavalry Regiment and Mounted MG Group were subordinated directly to the
Cavalry Division.
